America's Rifle Challenge

The popularity of ARs over the past few years continues to rise. Millions of gun owners have purchased ARs for recreational shooting as well as for home defense. To help owners sharpen their skills on this platform, the NRA has developed a unique training and competition event designed to go beyond typical target practice.

NRA Whittington Center

Whatever you want to shoot, we have the range for you! Shooters can take part in competitive shooting, rifle and pistol silhouette, bullseye disciplines, and even black powder muzzle-loading rifles. We have trap fields, skeet fields, sporting clays courses, high power rifle ranges, all kinds of .22 ranges, pistol ranges plus training for first-time shooters, law enforcement, hunters, young shooters, you name it.

Women's Wilderness Escape

The NRA Women's Wilderness Escape provides women 18 and older with an eight-day getaway opportunity to experience the softer side of firearm education with exposure to a wide variety of shooting sports activities and an array of enticing hunting and outdoor related activities.

NRA Day

NRA Day events provide community members the opportunity to come together to learn, experience, share, and grow in appreciation of the shooting sports. Participants will be able to learn about the many different activities available in shooting sports and explore them in a safe environment.

The NRA Range

Come and shoot on one of the most technically advanced, user-friendly indoor shooting ranges in the country - right in the basement of NRA Headquarters! The 50-yard, wheelchair accessible NRA Range is open to all NRA members, the general public, and available for private group rentals. Featuring 15 shooting booths, The NRA Range has ample room for pistol, rifle, and shotgun shooting.

Home Air Gun Program

The NRA's Home Air Gun Program Introduction brings marksmanship activities directly to the community. This guide is to provide parents, teachers, activity and club leaders with information and guidance on BB and air gun shooting sports. It also guides you on how to select a BB or air gun and how to construct permanent ranges and what portable ranges are available.

Adaptive Shooting

The NRA's goal is to increase access and participation in shooting activities for people with disabilities through specialized techniques and technologies that are safe and unique to each individual.

NRA Springfield M1A Match

This match is a fun and friendly competition held during the National Matches. From novice to champion competitor, every level of shooter can be found here and over $25,000 in cash and prize awards will be given out for this match.

Firearm Training

From beginner to developing competitor, the NRA Training Department develops safe, ethical, responsible shooters through a network of more than 125,000 instructors and range safety officers and coaches. NRA Training Counselors recruit and train instructors to teach NRA's basic firearm courses. NRA Coaches, in turn, develop competitors at the club, high school, collegiate and national levels.
